The Cardinals’ defense was one of the best in the league, and was so despite the lack of a disruptive talent at the outside linebacker position.

Relying on what can be described as overly aggressive blitz schemes, the team was caught at times without enough pass protection when bringing the house to create a pass rush.

Emmanuel Ogbah from Oklahoma State is a 4-3 defensive end who should convert to a 3-4 outside linebacker fairly well.

His pass rushing speed will benefit from getting a running start, and he’ll immediately make the Cardinals a more efficient defense by allowing them to blitz fewer defenders.

Keeping more players in coverage while still attacking the quarterback is always fruitful, and with Ogbah, Arizona should be able to do just that.
