2016 NFL Mock Draft Version 3.0: Free-Agency Impact
The Super Bowl champions will have a very different look in 2016, and a new quarterback is just the start.
Mark Sanchez is headed to Denver via trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, and if he’s going to be successful in a new city, with a new team, the Broncos need to protect him up front.
Ryan Clady will return, and his addition will be comforting to Sanchez and the Broncos’ running game, but the other guard spot needs addressing.
Germain Ifedi from Texas A&M is the second best guard in the draft, and plays with an energy similar to fellow Aggie Alum, Von Miller.
With some of the defensive pieces missing from Denver’s championship run, the offense will need to produce more than it did in 2015. Drafting Ifedi will open lanes in the run game, and give Sanchez precious time needed to connect with the Broncos’ great receiving corps.
