Reviewing the Buccaneers’ 2011 Draft Class
Round One: Adrian Clayborn
Clayborn was the first selection, chosen 20th overall. His rookie season saw him start every game at defensive end, and post 7.5 sacks to go along with 42 tackles. Injury trouble limited him to three games in 2012, but he came back in 2013 well, posting a career-high of 64 tackles to go along with 5.5 sacks. Unfortunately, the injury bug hit Clayborn again, limiting him to only one game in 2014, which turned out to be his final year in Tampa.
Currently he plays for the Atlanta Falcons as a backup lineman. He posted 15 tackles and three sacks in Atlanta. With the amount of time he spent off of the field, he never really had the opportunity to fulfill any potential that he had. Clayborn is officially a journeyman on the defensive line.
