Protecting David Carr and opening lanes for Latavius Murray will help the Raiders’ offense ascend to the next level.

Re-signing Donald Penn was huge for Oakland, and adding Kelechi Osemele was equally impactful. The only left to do is secure the other tackle position and solidify their quarterbacks blind side protection for a long time.

Taylor Decker from Ohio State is the third best tackle in the draft, but the best fit for the Raiders at number 14. He’ll give his team a solid bookend on the right side while Penn finishes his career in Oakland, and when his time is done Decker will be ready to step in and keep Carr clean for the next decade.
