Cedric Thornton is a nice addition to a defensive line in big need of an upgrade. One year experiment Greg Hardy doesn’t seem destined to return to Big-D, and Randy Gregory may be destined for a troubled career if he doesn’t get the message soon.

Joey Bosa out of Ohio State is a system fit as one of the most disruptive 4-3 edge rushers to come out of college football in some time. While his quickness of the line brings much to the table for any defense, his ability to also drop off into coverage is an added bonus.
Giving his defensive coordinator flexibility and the confidence to vary his play calling will make him one of the most electric and exciting players to watch in 2016. A subpar scouting combine had some questioning Bosa’s NFL talent, and some even questioned whether he had real NFL ability, or was destined to be a college stud who fizzles out.
His pro day was much better, and he showed elite hand-fighting skills along with several moves to get through the offensive line. The Cowboys recorded just 31 sacks in 2015, but 2016 should see an increase with the addition of Bosa at 4th overall.
