2011: Ryan Williams-RB
Ryan Williams began his career with the Cardinals after being selected number 38 in 2011. His career, unfortunately, took a turn on his first carry as a pro, rupturing his patella tendon in his right knee, ending his rookie season. He came back in 2012, running the ball 58 times for 164 yards, and adding seven receptions.
He hasn’t carried the ball since. He was released by Arizona after the 2014 season, and has caught on with the Cowboys’ practice squad.
This one is hard to criticize, as running backs don’t always come back the same from serious knee or leg injuries. Who knows what this player could have become?
