2013: Manti Te’o-LB

Yes, that Manti Te’o, was the choice in 2013. He may have been in that unfortunate situation with being “catfished” by who he thought was his girlfriend, but he has also turned into a solid football player.  A regular starter, Te’o has started 31 of his 35 career games.  He started 13 games during his rookie season of 2013, posting 73 tackles to go along with four passes defended.  He posted his first sack in 2014 and 61 tackles, despite only starting six games.  He also picked off one pass.

2015 saw Te’o post a career high in tackles with 82.  He forced his first career fumble, added .5 sacks and an interception.  Te’o is well on his way to a solid NFL career.
