With Jerrell Freeman playing in Chicago, the Colts need some help at their interior linebacker position.
Reggie Ragland patrolled the middle for the National Champion Crimson Tide in 2015, and is the best inside backer prospect in this year’s draft.
Admittedly, the team needs help in front of Andrew Luck, but at 18th overall, there just aren’t options available, so going defense makes sense.
The Colts’ defense wasn’t exactly top shelf with Freeman, and they won’t instantly jump to the top with Ragland alone, but he’s an instant starter in Indy and is a player the team can build around.
