With the top three receivers in the draft gone, the Vikings can either reach for a fourth, or go for the best player available who can help their team with depth.
A’Shawn Robinson would start on many defensive lines in the NFL, but not in Minnesota. What he will do is provide a valuable rotational piece and come in on crucial short-yardage or goal line situations as a run-stuffing addition.
Eventually, Robinson will give Minnesota the flexibility of not having to pay big bucks to retain either Linval Joseph or Shariff Floyd, as he’ll be ready to step into a full-time role by then.
