Jimmy Smith is battling injury, and Shareece Wright played well at times, not so much at others. The Ravens lost cornerback Tray Walker to a tragic accident, and will have to attend to the business side of things in the draft.

Bottom line is the team doesn’t have their number one corner on the roster, but Vernon Hargreaves III could be their guy.

After Ramsey, VH3 is the best defensive back in the class, and the drop off isn’t too steep to warrant a top-10 pick to get the second best guy.

The knock on him has been his size. At 5’10” or 5’11” depending on whose measurement you trust, Hargreaves III is undersized for his position. However, what he lacks in size he makes up for with pure talent.

He’s a ball-hawk who gives admirable support to the run defense when he gets a chance. He erases his height mismatch with the ability to jump out of the stadium, and as a three-time first team member in the SEC, he’s a proven talent.
