The draft’s top 3-4 lineman with the ability to shift inside or play on the edge, Buckner will give San Diego the pass rush they desperately needed in 2015.
The AFC West is wide open despite the existence of the defending Super Bowl champions playing in the division. Increasing their defensive abilities will only help Philip Rivers bring the franchise to the top of the group.
Drafting in the top-3 means you need to hit on the pick and get a guy who can play from day one. Buckner is a player who can do just that, and his impact on the Chargers will be felt throughout his rookie campaign.
