There almost has to be someone who slides down the board, and DeForest Buckner from Oregon is the guy this week.
The defensive end doesn’t fall far, but any slide is a slide no player wants to ride. The Bears have made strides in their linebacker group and adding Buckner to their front line will only help those additions find even more success.
Chicago is looking to return their franchise to the defensive studs they once were, and the defensive line needs some help to get there.
Lining up as a 3-4 end and playing the three-technique on the occasional 4-3 formation will make Buckner a great addition to a suddenly more aggressive Bears’ defense.
