The Chargers need defensive line and offensive line help in the worst way, and ultimately it boils down to best player available.

Here, due to good fortune and the perseverance of the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego gets their pick of the top lineman on their board, no matter what side of the ball he plays on.

The best guy available has to be the offensive tackle from Mississippi – Laremy Tunsil.  Rated slightly over DeForest Buckner, mostly due to the depth sitting on the defensive line in the 2016 draft class, Tunsil should be an easy choice for the Bolts.

Tunsil immediately adds downs to Philip Rivers’ career and may even aid in making 2015 first round selection Melvin Gordon a little more relevant in the coming year.

With defensive line help to be found later in a deep draft pool, the Chargers take the top offensive lineman and celebrate their benefiting from the biggest draft trades this year.
