Sam Bradford is an injury waiting to happen and Chase Daniel is a career backup who isn’t really generating a whole lot of buzz about being a starter in the NFL.
The former Sooner and the former Missouri Tiger may have played on some of college football’s biggest stages, but they’re about to be replaced by a small school quarterback with big time talent.
Carson Wentz from North Dakota State is a long-term upgrade over any quarterback in Philly since Donovan McNabb and while he may be a year away from being ready, when he hits the field it should give the Eagles exactly what they need to compete for the NFC East crown.
Bradford will get one more year to try to show other teams he can be a starter, and Daniel should get the nod once Sam gets injured again. Meanwhile, Wentz should be holding the clipboard and learning from the sidelines waiting for his chance to take over in 2017.
