A versatile defensive lineman is needed in Detroit as they look to redefine their team personality following the retirement of Calvin Johnson.
Jarran Reed from Alabama is a National Championship winning defensive tackle who played on the nose and on the edge of the Crimson Tide’s 3-4 defensive front, and should translate well as a 4-3 interior lineman for the Lions.
Haloti Ngata hasn’t been as effective as they hoped when they pried him away from the Baltimore Ravens, and Reed could be the answer sooner rather than later, but will be a valuable addition no matter when he takes over.
