If the Cardinals are going to secure a future of offensive success, then they have to start planning for the coming retirement of quarterback Carson Palmer.
Connor Cook from Michigan State comes from a pro-style offense, and even if he has personality issues, head coach Bruce Arians has a record of getting the best out of guys who didn’t necessarily fit in.
Giving Cook a season or maybe two to sit behind one of the best in the game will also give the team time to bring in another receiver to soften the blow when Larry Fitzgerald hangs it up as well. The two prospects can then build rapport awaiting their turn to run the show in Arizona.
