Defensive End. Ohio State. Joey Bosa. 9. player. 48.

This pick isn’t nearly as crazy as it would’ve been a month ago. There is a very real chance Joey Bosa actually slips to the Buccaneers and, if so, they need to take advantage. The Buccaneers need help at defensive end, defensive tackle, and secondary among others, but the defensive line is the most glaring need. Lining Bosa up along side Gerald McCoy will create one-on-ones and mismatches in the Bucs’ favor.

Bosa is one of few players I like for the Bucs at nine and feel their best, and most likely option, will be trading back. Bosa is a high motor, high production player. His sacks were down in 2015, but his quarterback pressures were up. As Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network pointed out, Bosa also played three fewer games in 2015 than he did in 2014, so it shouldn’t be too concerning that his numbers dropped a little.
