Vernon Hargreaves III. 13. player. 59. . Cornerback. University of Florida

The Miami Dolphins find their replacement for Brent Grimes. Well, at least in size, maybe not in production.

Hargreaves is incredibly high on many people’s boards. I don’t really understand why, but I feel if the Dolphins go corner, he is most likely the choice. A 5’10” corner with drastically short arms is not exactly the cornerback teams generally look for this high in the draft. No, size isn’t everything and Hargreaves has ball skills. Or, at least, that’s what the experts say.

Again, I’m not sure where all the hype comes from. Hargreaves was torched by the NFL receivers he faced in the SEC, especially Amari Cooper. Hopefully he can develop into a great corner, but he seems like a number two guy at best and the top-15 is too high of a pick to use on a secondary corner. I think this is what the Dolphins do, but feel they would’ve been better off with William Jackson III.
