
You have a franchise quarterback in Derek Carr, a top wide receiver in Amari Cooper, and a solid run game with Latavius Murry. Now, protect the quarterback and open holes for the running game. Jack Conklin is a strong, physical mauler at left tackle that can be part of this offensive nucleus they have brewing in Oakland. Another player that solidifies the left side for the next decade is an asset the Raiders won’t pass on.
Oakland is not nearly as far away from contending in the AFC as people may want to believe. Helping curb the pass rush of division opponents Kansas City and Denver will go a long way in Oakland’s continued rise back to the postseason.
