2016 NFL Mock Draft: Yarcho Mocks The First Round
By James Yarcho

Center. Alabama. Ryan Kelly. 18. player. 46.
Too many people are picking Taylor Decker to the Colts. It’s no secret Andrew Luck was mauled last season, but the pressure came from up the middle, not the edges. Drafting a tackle doesn’t help that. However, drafting Kelly gives Luck his Jeff Saturday.
A lot of Derrick Henry’s success at Alabama can be credited to the offensive line, especially the holes opened up in the middle big enough to drive a UHaul through. Protecting Luck and giving Gore solid running lanes helps get Indianapolis back to playoff form. Again, not the “sexy” pick, but for the longevity of one of the best young quarterbacks in this league, it would be a brilliant move on the part of Chuck Pagano.
This may even put Indianapolis in the situation that they become the team to take the risk on Jaylon Smith on day two in hopes that he returns to form in 2017. Remember, this was a team that was in the AFC Championship in 2014, so they aren’t far off. A solid center in round one is a darn good start for this squad and drafting Jaylon Smith in the third round could send them over the top.
