Linebacker. Alabama. Reggie Ragland. 20. player. 30.

Jets’ GM Mike MacCagnan is a “BPA” guy, so it would make a lot of sense to see Reggie Ragland go to the Jets here. Ragland, who stayed at inside linebacker at Alabama, could very well be the successor to David Harris. The Jets aren’t going to be suckered in to reaching on Paxton Lynch here as so many think they will. MacCagnan is smarter than that and, as tough as it is, will stay true to his board.

There is still hope in New York that Ryan Fitzpatrick returns, but that doesn’t eliminate the possibility of the Jets drafting a quarterback. It just doesn’t happen here.

Ragland will stay at middle/inside linebacker in New York. The Jets are a hybrid team so regardless of the 4-3 or 3-4 alignment, don’t expect to see Ragland line up at the outside positions.
