Eastern Kentucky. Noah Spence. 27. player. 49. . Edge

Another guy with “character concerns” finds himself in a perfect situation. The Packers are the right team to take a chance on Noah Spence given the stability of the franchise. It’s just like when the Patriots bring in a guy with character concerns; they’re confident enough in their staff to know there won’t be any problems with the guy.

Julius Peppers can’t play forever and Spence can pick up right where Peppers leaves off. In the meantime, Spence can find plenty of playing time in the rotation, whether that means putting his hand in the dirt at 3-4 defensive end, or utilizing his speed at outside linebacker when Peppers or Clay Matthews need a breather. His natural athletic ability allows for him to be equally effective in either scenario and can continue to grow and refine his craft without the pressure of being thrust into an immediate starting role.
