48. . Safety. West Virginia. Karl Joseph. 38. player

This would be the ultimate steal. Joseph is a first round player that may suffer the same fate as Myles Jack. Teams are concerned over the medicals and it may cause him to slip to the Bucs in the early second round. Joseph suffered a torn ACL in a non-contact drill in practice last year, causing him to miss the majority of the season. His explosiveness was one of his biggest attributes, so teams may shy away from him on day one.

The Bucs’ starting safeties are currently Chris Conte and Bradley McDougald. That is the biggest glaring need in this secondary and it will likely be addressed at the beginning of day two if Joseph or Vonn Bell are there. If not, look for Kevin Byard to be the pick. The Bucs have shown a lot of interest in him and he may even be their choice in round three.
