Offensive Tackle. UCLA. Caleb Benenoch. 148. player. 48.

POSITIVES

Benenoch impressed at UCLA and started as a freshman.  He was a strong run blocker for running back Paul Perkins. He has the potential to start at right tackle over Demar Dotson or Gosder Cherilus in 2017vafter a season of development.  He’s got the ability to play inside or outside which will help with the depth.  Unfortunately he doesn’t have a Logan Mankins to mentor him, but he along with the rest of the young offensive line could develop strong chemistry and produce really well for a long time.

NEGATIVES

As good as he is at run blocking he needs improvement at pass blocking.  He left school early and many thought that he could have been a higher pick next year if he stayed in school for another season.  He surrendered 31 QB pressures in 2015, which needs to improve if he wants to play in the NFL.

This was not the flashiest pick in the draft but strong depth can greatly help a young team.
