Roberto Aguayo

Here was the move that shocked the world.  The Bucs traded up, not for the need of a safety, but for a kicker.  Who does that?  Nobody!  Why would they do that?  They could have gotten the guy later in the draft, right?  As Bailey Adams opined on these very pages, it was a move the Bucs needed to make.  They have lost 11 games since 2014 by a touchdown or less.  A quality kicker could do a lot to change those outcomes.

Kyle Brindza made a whopping 50% of his field goals last season.  Connor Barth was better, but not great.  Something had to change.  Aguayo has never missed an extra point, the Bucs missed three last year.  He also hasn’t missed from under 40 yards.  He will make a big impact in 2016 and beyond.
