Players Buccaneers’ Fans Should Watch for the 2017 NFL Draft

Right tackle is a position that is up in the air for the Bucs this season.  They drafted Caleb Benenoch in the fifth round from UCLA.  He’s got solid potential but is more of a project right now. Demar Dotson and Gosder Cherilus are in contract seasons but both of them look easily expendable. Cam Robinson is the best offensive tackle in this draft.

The Bucs have what they believe is their future left tackle in Donovan Smith but if he doesn’t progress this season Robinson is an instant improvement and Smith could maul on the right side. Robinson was the top offensive tackle coming out of high school and went to Alabama where he started every game as a true freshman.  The Freshman All-American only allowed three sacks all year for an Alabama team that averaged over 480 yards per game.
