Third Wide Receiver

Kenny Bell vs Louis Murphy vs Adam Humphries vs Donteea Dye

Wide Receiver is really a position of strength for the Bucs for the top two.  Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson are studs and can be compared to other top receiving tandems in the NFL. However Jackson isn’t the Jackson of old and has had some injuries over the past couple seasons. The Bucs need depth at wide receiver to solidify a top offense in the NFL.

Louis Murphy is nothing more than a solid depth piece and can make some plays, but he is coming off ACL surgery and the Bucs are looking for someone that can help more than just a depth guy. They need someone to takeover for VJ when he decides to hang up the cleats.  Kenny Bell, fifth round pick in last season’s draft, has the potential to be that guy.  He had a nice of-fseason but had a hamstring injury that shut him down for the entire year last season. He has looked healthy in the off-season and the coaches like his potential but he still needs to prove it.

Adam Humphries and Donteea Dye were the fill ins for the injured Bucs last season and both produced okay.  Humphries seemed to have the best rapport with Winston but he will still need to prove his worth to make a spot on the roster.
