Steady Improvement

This game isn’t easy.  Players, when arriving in the league, talk about how they have to get used to the speed of the game.  Every player has to get used to the fact that the players are all as good as they are.  When the game slows down, that’s when it all changes.

It has already started to slow down for Mr. Winston.

In week four, ball security hit rock bottom, as Winston threw four interceptions against the Carolina Panthers.  From there, he got it.  His touchdown to interception ratio following that game was 16:7.  That is a terrific number by any means.

His completion percentage improved as well.  Over the first four weeks, Winston completed just over 54% of his passes.  Over the final four weeks, he completed just over 57% of his passes.

The numbers are trending in the right direction, and there is no reason to think that they won’t continue to do so.
