Unfortunately, the Bucs were not able to capitalize last year in the national spotlight in their color rush game against the St. Louis Rams.  The Bucs’ third game of the season, and first game home, has the newly founded Los Angeles Rams coming down to the Bay.  Although the Rams have found hope with their new play caller in Jared Goff, the Rams still have some definite holes to their team.

To begin, the offense should, and will be centered around their best player, Todd Gurley.  Although last year Gurley had an average at best game against the Bucs, he was still able to help lead them to victory.  If the Bucs can once again slow him down, Mike Smith and his schemes should be able to take advantage of the rookie quarterback.

The feared Rams’ defense has lost some major contributors, which is great news for the Bucs.  A secondary without Janoris Jenkins is a secondary the Bucs can attack, and being able to do just that can help them win their first game back in Tampa.  Let’s just hope that the Bucs’ offensive line can contain Aaron Donald.
