Dan Vitale

Vitale might be the “X-Factor” of this group.  Zach Sauers talked about this guy at length.  He was the “Super Back” at Northwestern, wearing many hats on offense.  For his college career, he posted 135 receptions for 1,427 yards and 11 touchdowns.  He was listed as a fullback in the draft, although he didn’t run the ball often, totaling six rushes for 29 yards in his career.

He may not be as big as some of the other guys at the position, standing at 6’2″, but the team is on board.  The team believes he can make an impact as a rookie, and Sander Philipse of Bucs Nation believes that Vitale will ultimately steal playing time away from the aforementioned Cameron Brate.

Licht liked what he saw, and there has to be a reason why Vitale went off the draft board before the more widely-known Glenn Gronkowski.
