Buccaneers Fantasy Recap: Defense

Week 15 @ St. Louis Rams
Fantasy Stats:
Rushing Allowed: 98 yards, 2 TD
Passing Allowed: 234 yards, 2 TD
Total: 332 yards, 4 TD
Points Allowed: 31
Sacks: 2
Forced Turnovers: none
Total Fantasy Score: 2 points
Top Individual Score: William Gholston – 18 points (11 Tackles)
Making their lone appearance on Thursday Night Football the Buccaneers needed the win to keep their chances at a winning record alive even as their playoff hopes were dwindling.
Fantasy owners were in their semi-final matchups and going against the Rams with their soon to be Rookie of the Year running back Todd Gurley, it’s unlikely anyone gave the Bucs defense a go in Week 15.
While Gurley was held under 100 yards rushing he was able to find the endzone and get his team the win.
For Tampa it was William Gholston who led the fantasy scoring as an individual with 18 points following his 11 tackles; most of which came in efforts to contain the aforementioned Gurley.
2 points in back-to-back weeks certainly won’t leave a lasting impression in fantasy owners as they draft for the 2016 season, but there was still two weeks to change things.
