When is surrendering under 300 yards of total offense a bad thing? When the defense gives up three touchdowns and three field goals in the process.

The Buccaneers defense was set up with short field after short field against the Carolina Panthers who were well on their way to an NFC Championship.

Another touchdown surrendered on a Josh Norman pick-six return against Jameis Winston sealed the fate of the Bucs who dropped this one 37-23.

Chris Conte led the way for the defense as his 8 tackles and forced fumble gave him 19 individual player points and gave him a top-10 finish among defensive backs.

The four points scored by the defense landed them at 18th overall for the week. While individual players were proving to be successful in fantasy scoring, the defense was not and had their third finish in the bottom half of the league in the first four games of the year.
