5. Drew Brees

The Saints haven’t been the same in recent years, including a loss to the Bucs last year.  But Drew Brees is still at a high level, and one of the best quarterbacks the team will face in the upcoming season.

He only won seven games under center last year, but Brees still completed 68% of his passes.  He also reduced his interception total to 11 from 17 the previous year, to go along with 32 touchdown passes.  He was on a roll coming into the end of the year, posting nine touchdowns and not throwing a single interception, winning three out of four games to end the season.

Though Brees no longer has Jimmy Graham by his side, he still has Brandin Cooks, who only gets better.  He stepped up big time last year with 84 receptions for 1,138 yards and nine touchdowns.  This may be the final year with Sean Payton and this core of players led by Brees.  He will certainly want to go out with a bang.  At 37 years old, it may be his last chance.
