5. Jason Verrett

Number five is a young player that made a big splash in 2015.

Jason Verrett came on the scene in 2014 as a first round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers.  With eight interceptions during his college career at TCU, big things were expected.  After not seeing much action as a rookie, he started 14 games last year and picked off three passes, returning one for a touchdown.  He added 46 tackles as well, and earned a Pro Bowl appearance.

His big day came against the Chicago Bears when he took an interception 68 yards to the house,  though in a losing cause.

Verrett became recognized because of superb cover skills.  Pro Football Focus ranked him tied for the best in pass coverage with a grade of 91.5.  He is going to be tough to throw against.
