4. Sean Smith

Here is a name that has joined his Bucs’ opponent this year.  The Bucs had better be ready.

Sean Smith was a second round draft pick of the Dolphins back in 2009.  Right away he became a starter, spending most of the time on the right side.  He has been durable, starting 100 games in his 108 game career.  That first year, he didn’t pick off a pass, but he did record 12 passes defended, showing a nose for the football right out of the gate.

Through the next six years of his career, which brought him from Miami to Kansas City in 2013, he hasn’t gone a season without at least one interception.  He flashed big-play ability in 2013, taking an interception 100 yards for a score in a win over the Buffalo Bills.

Smith was tied for 15th in pass coverage per Pro Football Focus, with a rating of 82.1, and 12th overall with a grade of 83.8.  Don’t ignore him, Jameis.
