Adam Humphries

Here is a guy that we are already familiar with.  Humphries came on the scene last year and stepped up when Vincent Jackson went down with an injury.  He got better as the season went along, and he ended up with 27 receptions for 260 yards and a touchdown.  His best day of the season was in a December game against the Rams, when he posted six catches for 60 yards.

Humphries has worked hard in camp so far, and coach has noticed.  Last week, coach Koetter told the world that Adam is the team’s third wide receiver.  He has continued to grind.  Take a look at this clip from a recent Bucs’ practice:

According to Jenna Laine, Winston called Humphries a “third down machine”.  He is going to need to be one in order to be a solid third threat with “VJax” and Evans on the outside.  It will be interesting to see him begin the role on Thursday night.
