Improved Discipline

Penalties killed the Bucs in 2015.  They continuously shot themselves in the foot, and it became one of the reasons that Lovie Smith went out the door.  Dirk Koetter promised a more disciplined Tampa team in 2016.

So far we haven’t seen it.

Granted it got better from game one to game two.  But dropping from ten penalties to eight is not enough.  They have averaged nine penalties per game.  Yes, the teams are working out the kinks.  But discipline is something that shouldn’t be rusty.  Penalties are the easiest way to beat yourself.  The Bucs would be well-served to put in a performance where they post anywhere from 0-5 penalties.
