The Pass Rush Has Great Potential

Like the secondary, it was also no secret that Jason Licht was looking to improve the pass rush.  Yes they had Gerald McCoy, but had nobody to partner up with him.  If McCoy didn’t make a big play, and he did have a tendency to go quiet in big games, nobody was getting to the quarterback.

So they went out and improved the team.  They drafted Noah Spence.  They signed Robert Ayers.  The talent was brought in, and the potential is there.  They showed themselves in week one of the preseason, posting four sacks against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  They only posted one sack last week, leaving the most appropriate word being “potential”.  They have to get to the quarterback consistently, week in and week out.  But, the group as we seem them has great potential.
