Buccaneers vs Broncos: Five Game-Changing Players
By Bailey Adams
The Buccaneers (1-2) blew a big opportunity on Sunday against the Rams, but they have no time to dwell on it. The defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos (3-0) come to town this week. Here, we break down five players that can decide the outcome of Sunday’s game.
Last Sunday, the Buccaneers had multiple chances to beat the Los Angeles Rams, but they couldn’t come through. This week, the two-game homestand continues for Tampa Bay as it hosts the undefeated Denver Broncos. Denver is a contender year in and year out, which is where the Bucs are trying to be. Pulling off an upset on Sunday would be a big step for Dirk Koetter and his team.
Tampa Bay’s offense clicked against Los Angeles, with Jameis Winston having a huge game. The run game wasn’t at its best without Doug Martin, but the passing game was able to carry the team. Tampa Bay’s defense was a liability once again, failing to contain Case Keenum. Roberto Aguayo‘s struggles continued, which was one of the biggest reasons that the Bucs fell short.
The Broncos are coming off of a 29-17 win over the Bengals. One of the biggest question marks for the defending champs coming into the year was the offense, but there have been no issues for the unit through three games.
The two teams last met in week 13 of the 2012 season, with the Broncos coming away with a 31-23 win at home. Demaryius Thomas caught eight passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
