Buccaneers vs Broncos: Five Game-Changing Players
By Bailey Adams
Trevor Siemian
When the legendary Peyton Manning retired following last year’s Super Bowl, it looked like Brock Osweiler would take over for him under center. Instead, he signed with the Houston Texans. Denver then brought in Mark Sanchez as a possibility, but it was Trevor Siemian that eventually won the job. Through three weeks, he has proven to be more than serviceable. He has thrown for 756 yards and five touchdowns while leading the Broncos to three straight wins.

Siemian doesn’t have a lot of experience in the NFL, but he has proven himself early on this season. He has plenty of weapons at receiver, including Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. The Broncos came into the year not knowing whether or not they would be able to throw the ball effectively, but that is no longer a question. They will go right after the Bucs’ secondary on Sunday afternoon.
Through three weeks, Tampa Bay has yet to contain the opposition’s passing game. In week one, Matt Ryan threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns. A week later, Carson Palmer totaled 304 yards and three touchdowns. Last week, Case Keenum finished with 190 yards and two touchdowns. The Buccaneer secondary has shown that it hasn’t improved from last year, so it could be another big day for Siemian, who is coming off of his best game yet.
