The Tight End Might Be Elite

Did anyone realize that the Bucs are sporting the tight end with the most touchdowns in the league? That’s right, Cameron Brate is tied with Hunter Henry for the league lead in receiving touchdowns by tight ends with seven. His seventh came on Sunday night on a pass down the seam from ten yards out. He’s also seventh in the league among tight ends with 648 receiving yards.

His excellent hands were on display as he skied high in the air to bring in the score on Sunday. Brate caught five passes on Sunday night, and he has caught multiple passes in every game this season except for one. Over the last four weeks, he has not brought in less than four passes in a game. Brate may have been an undrafted free agent out of Harvard, but he is becoming one of Jameis Winston‘s most trusted weapons.

He is also on his way to becoming an elite tight end in this league, and that was on display against the Cowboys.
