The Verdict

This one was a pretty easy decision.

According to Spotrac, Rodgers made $760,000 last season. He was exactly what the Bucs needed. He was the best running back on the field in 2016 by a wide margin. Don’t forget how tenuous the Bucs running back situation is. We don’t know if Doug Martin will be retained and how he will look coming back from suspension if he is. Charles Sims, like Martin, has had difficulty staying on the field.

With just 560 yards Rodgers won’t command a huge raise, so this one is a no-brainer.
