A month ago Forrest Lamp had a little following and was starting to make some noise. Now he’s considered the top interior lineman in the draft by many, and the Buccaneers could use some help on the interior.

If Dalvin Cook isn’t there then the Bucs have some flexibility as to where they can go with their top pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Investing in protecting the quarterback is never a bad strategy, even if it isn’t going to send jersey’s flying off the shelves.

A tandem of Marpet with Lamp could certainly spawn a glory period for the inside of Tampa’s offensive line, and would give Winston exponentially more confidence in what’s in front of him.

Add this to the boost the running game should see, and it’s clear the Bucs on hand better be watching to see if he Lamp can show he’s worth the hype.
