2017 NFL Mock Draft: Buccaneers at 19 and 31 Others
One of two possible first-round Gator cornerbacks, Quincy Wilson is the more physical and therefore the more Raider-like of the two.
Whether they’re playing Oakland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Antonio, etc. the Raiders brand will always be synonymous with physical defenses and fast offense.
It was a hard call between this prospect and the speed receiver from Washington, and I’m pretty sure if Al were still here I’d be going with the speed over the defensive stud.
In his Top-50, Daniel Jeremiah mentions Wilson’s hips tightness, so watch for this during the combine to see if he displays more of the same or appears to have figured it out.
Even if he has some tightness in his hips, Wilson is a first-round prospect and a guy the Raiders would love to have join the family.
Putting him in the secondary with Karl Joseph and Sean Smith should really help this team reach the heights they nearly got to before losing Derek Carr late in the 2016 season.
