Dallas had so much success drafting a Buckeye in the first-round last year, who could blame them for going back to the talent pool again in this one?

Gareon Conley is the third defensive back from his school drafted here, but don’t undersell his abilities with that label.

Throughout the playoffs, the concern for Dallas was whether or not their defense could contain opposing offenses, not the fact they had rookie starters at quarterback and running back.

Think about that, that’s bad.

Conley can come in and match-up well against most of the receivers he’ll face in the NFC East, and will allow his coordinator a bit of flexibility in his scheme as he finally finds someone he can trust on the outside.

Add a legitimate pass rusher later on and a speed threat to stretch the field on offense, and the Cowboys are primed for another trip to the post-season.
