On paper, Jacksonville looked like an up and coming contender. On the field they looked less than adequate to put it nicely.

Offensive line is their biggest need, but unless they’re going to reach about half a rounds worth of picks they aren’t getting help here.

Trading back is an option, but so is Jonathan Allen from Alabama.

Put this Crimson Tide product next to Malik Jackson and even if the offense isn’t clicking right away, the Jags front line should be able to create enough early chaos to afford them some time to figure it out.

There’s less depth at this area of need than many, many others, and for that reason alone this move is the smartest one to make.

It ensure the defense can absorb some drives, and keeps this team from panicking with the fourth overall selection.
