Until this team parts ways with either Cody Kessler or Brock Osweiler, I simply can’t mock a quarterback to them with their second pick in the draft.

The latter will need to mature quite a bit – and this time I do mean emotionally – but the first is probably the best option this year to start.

So why not draft a quarterback here?

Simply, this team is not a quarterback away from being a good team.

How many times have we seen a player with potential go under center for the Browns just to have all his potential smashed to oblivion? Too many times.

This franchise needs to build a roster which a guy could actually come in and lead. They simply don’t have it right now.

What they do have is five picks in the first two-rounds of the draft.

Taking a player like Quincy Wilson here makes the defense better, and puts talent on the field to play opposite Joe Haden.

Along with top pick Myles Garrett, this defense now has some foundation and can start looking like a unit which could help keep Kessler and his offense in striking distance of winning a few games.
