Didn’t McCaffrey’s dad used to play with some Broncos’ decision maker?

While some noise will be made around the John Elway connection – get it, because Ed McCaffrey was a receiver – this is a guy who really fits a need for Denver.

Not since Terrell Davis has this franchise really had a great running back, but this could all begin to change here.

The early knock on the young back is he doesn’t look like an every down back right now, and this isn’t wrong.

However, the team doesn’t really need him to be quite yet.

Veteran C.J. Anderson had flashes of efficiency last season, and if he knows he’s playing for his next contract with his next team, he’s certainly going to put forth maximum effort.
