The Dolphins need to find an interior lineman in the draft, and Forrest Lamp is the best there is.

How often does a team picking 22nd in the first round get to take a guy who lists atop his position group?

I don’t know, but it must be nice to do it.

Lamp also brings the Miami offensive line some versatility as his collegiate success came at the tackle position.

He translates best to the interior at the NFL level, and I don’t think anyone is projecting him anywhere else.

Still, having a guy who can make the move outside if necessary is a nice flexibility to have.

Jay Ajayi should enjoy this selection more than anyone, but the entire offense will benefit nicely as the Dolphins look to repeat as post-season attendees.
