With the Saints going offense with their first pick in the draft, here they have to go defense.

When Delvin Breaux missed time for New Orleans in 2016 it was painfully obvious the team just didn’t have depth at the cornerback position.

Tre’Davious White won’t add depth, he’ll start opposite of Breaux and create depth by moving would be starters further down the depth chart.

The clock is ticking on the Saints as Drew Brees inches closer and closer to the end of his career.

While the offense continues to find ways to keep their team in games, the defense ultimately has to be able to close if they want to return to post-season glory.

This is one good step in the right direction.

This concludes my second mock draft of the year. Where did I miss in your opinion, and where are my hits?

Better yet, which first-round snub are you most bothered by and are there any names here you absolutely despise as day one selections.

Too many tight ends? Not enough linebackers?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments or on Twitter. I’ll be doing another version shortly before the draft, so I hope you come back and check it out.
